Speelkits are designed for children aged 2 to 7. Kits lean younger or older within that range. Younger children (2–3) will often need a parent alongside them; by 4 or 5 most children work through a kit independently.
Each kit contains a curated set of 8 screen-free activities. The Speel Activity Journal includes 20 activities with reusable stickers.
Yes. We use child-safe materials throughout, and every component is chosen with the 2–7 age range in mind. As with any activity product, we recommend adult supervision for children under three.
No – and that’s the whole point. Speelkits work in an aeroplane, a car, a queue or a power outage. Nothing to charge, nothing to download, nothing to argue about.
It depends on your child, but most parents report between 45 minutes and two hours of engaged play; often across several sittings rather than all at once. The kits are designed to be returned to, not finished in one go.
Absolutely. Restaurants, waiting rooms, doctor’s appointments, load-shedding, Sunday afternoons. We call them travel kits because that’s where the need is, but they earn their place anywhere you need calm, unplugged play.
